The AFC West is loading up with talent in the NFL draft.

Here is a look at where each team stands entering Day 3 in Pittsburgh on Saturday to conclude the draft.

BRONCOS

Total picks: One

No. 66 (3rd) — DT Tyler Onyedim (Texas A&M): Had 8.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 2025.

Day 3 picks: 108 (4th), 111 (4th), 170 (5th), 182 (6th), 246 (7th), 256 (7th) and 257 (7th).

Bottom line: The Broncos traded the No. 30 overall pick in a deal to acquire Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. They also traded out of the second round. It is clear the Broncos trust their current roster and don’t think too highly of this draft class. But they also have plenty of capital now to trade up on Saturday. Onyedim will have a chance to develop behind D.J. Jones and Malcolm Roach next season.

CHARGERS

Total picks: Two

No. 22 (1st) — EDGE Akheem Mesidor (Miami): Led the ACC with 12.5 sacks as a senior.

No. 63 (2nd) — C Jake Slaughter (Florida): Two-year team captain and three-year starter.

Day 3 picks: 105 (4th), 123 (4th), 131 (4th), 145 (5th), 202 (6th), 204 (6th) and 206 (6th).

Bottom line: The Chargers prioritized their pass rush and offensive line with their first two picks. They feel like smart moves to fill some apparent roster weaknesses. But the Chargers also traded out of the third round to acquire more draft capital. It gives them plenty of flexibility entering Day 3. The Chargers need to get over the hump after consecutive playoff exits in the wild-card round. Coach Jim Harbaugh has won 11 games in consecutive seasons.

CHIEFS

Total picks: Three

No. 6 (1st) — CB Mansoor Delane (LSU): Allowed 14 catches on 357 coverage snaps last season.

No. 29 (1st) — DL Peter Woods (Clemson): First-team All-ACC selection in 2025.

No. 40 (2nd) — EDGE R Mason Thomas (Oklahoma): Had 6.5 sacks last year but missed three games.

Day 3 picks: 109 (4th), 169 (5th), 176 (5th) and 210 (6th).

Bottom line: Kansas City took the opposite approach to Denver. The Chiefs added two elite prospects in the first round that should compete for immediate playing time. But they are also light on Day 3 picks. It’s obvious that Kansas City is doing everything it can to maximize the championship window of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. A strong draft class would certainly increase his chances of winning a fourth Super Bowl.

RAIDERS

Total picks: Four

No. 1 (1st) — QB Fernando Mendoza (Indiana): Won Heisman Trophy and NCAA national title.

No. 38 (2nd) — S Treydan Stukes (Arizona): Ran 4.33 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.

No. 67 (3rd) — EDGE Keyron Crawford (Auburn): Had 9.5 tackles for loss and five sacks in 2025.

No. 91 (3rd) — OL Trey Zuhn (Texas A&M): Fort Collins native who played at Fossil Ridge High School.

Day 3 picks: 102 (4th), 134 (4th), 175 (5th), 185 (6th), 208 (6th) and 219 (7th).

Bottom line: It’s a massive rebuilding project in Las Vegas for first-year Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak. Mendoza will be the foundation as the clear-cut No. 1 overall draft pick. It’s surprising the Raiders didn’t use any of their next three picks on an offensive skill player. Mendoza needs targets. But where do you even start to diagnose a fix for the lowly Raiders? It’s going to be a challenging road to relevance in the AFC West.
