Best pub in Colorado Springs? The people voted and a brand new restaurant took home the prize
In case you haven’t heard, The Gazette’s ‘Best of the Springs’ award winners were recently announced and a new Colorado Springs restaurant won big.
Aptly located near the downtown soccer stadium and known for its fish ‘n’ chips and Sunday roasts, The Brit – a British pub – ended up winning four awards at the event – two golds, a silver, and a bronze. It’s gold medals were for ‘best new restaurant’ and ‘best pub.’ Joining those were a silver medal in the ‘best gastropub’ category and a bronze among the ‘best Irish pubs.’

The Brit’s recognition comes months after it opened downtown in fall of 2025. Found behind a large wooden door and with a second floor view of the soccer pitch of Weidner Field, it’s no surprise this spot is a hit. Inside, patrons will find an iconic red phone booth, no shortage of themed decor, and plenty of televisions for watching various sports – notably soccer, which can be difficult to find at many sports bars around the city.

It’s also worth noting that the tap list moreso reflects what can be found across the pond opposed to that of Colorado’s craft beer scene. Options like Strongbow, Harp, Guinness, Kilkenny, and Smithwick’s are available on draft.
The Brit pulls it off when it comes to capturing the essence of a pub that might be found in London and with 4.6 stars on Yelp, the Internet seems to agree. Plan a visit here.
As far as the ‘best pub’ category goes, Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub and Restaurant got silver and Atmosphere Gastropub got bronze – both great spots, as well.
