Person rescued after car rolls into stream below Colorado interstate

On the night of April 30, a person was rescued after rolling into a stream below I-76 westbound just east of Sheridan.

According to Adams County Fire Rescue, crews responded to the late night call to find a single vehicle accident involving a car in Clear Creek stream. Firefighters were able to extricate the patient from the vehicle and pulled the person to safety via a Stokes basket lowered via a firetruck’s bucket.

The patient was ultimately transported to the hospital with injuries.

This mission goes to show how unconventional rescues can apply to certain situations – in this case involving the use of a tow bucket as a sort of uphauling lift, which is something crews had trained for multiple times.
