Denver weather: Sunny and warm with clear skies all week long
Warm weather and summer-like conditions are back after a much-needed snowstorm late last week, providing ideal conditions to get outdoors.
The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect a high of 85 degrees in Denver on Monday. That’s only about 5 degrees cooler than the average high for May 11 in Denver, according to weather service archive data.
Expect clear skies and light breezes throughout the day with winds reaching between 5-7 mpg in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are on track to stay warm this week, with temperatures staying in the mid to high eighties and mostly sunny skies and light breezes all week long.
9NEWS meteorologist Kathy Sabin said to expect to see warm, dry sinking air this week. With temperatures reaching the 80’s, expect some dry, windy conditions, she added, but the biggest risk will be fire danger.
According to a post from the National Weather Service in Boulder on X, most of the elevated fire danger will be localized to northern Colorado.
