As well as steer you toward the fish via local expertise, fly fishing guides make guests comfortable on the water and build their confidence.

USA Today 10Best recently published their list of the ten best fly fishing guides for 2026, and one Colorado company was included.

USA Today 10Best is a readers’ choice awards program that highlights the best in destinations, food and drink, hotels, and things to do. To create the rankings, an expert panel nominates their top choices in each category and readers vote to select the ten winners.

Angler’s Covey, based in Colorado Springs, took ninth place on the list. According to USA Today, the company offers custom trips to 30 different locations and provides guests with rods and equipment from Orvis and other “top quality”‘ fly manufacturers. Waders and boots are included in all packages. Angler’s Covey is also the only fly fishing outfitter in Colorado Springs with permits to guide Elevenmile and Cheesman canyons, and the upper Deckers area on the South Platte River.

Blue Ribbon Angler in Boone, North Carolina took the top spot as the best fly fishing guide in the U.S.
