Lone Tree preschool evacuated after Cybertruck crashes into it, catches fire

A preschool in Lone Tree was evacuated after a Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the building and caught fire.

The Cybertruck crashed into the school, the Primrose School located at 9200 Teddy Lane, at about 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the city of Lone Tree. All occupants of the school were safely evacuated and accounted for, according to a series of X posts.

At about 9:25 a.m. the fire was under control, South Metro Fire Rescue said. One person was taken to the hospital for “further evaluation,” the department said.

Officials later said a grandparent was driving the Cybertruck with two children inside when it crashed into the school. No children or staff inside the school were injured, but one of the passengers of the truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Neither drugs, alcohol or medical issues are suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
