Luxury club for growing sport rivaling pickleball coming to Denver’s RiNo
A luxury padel club is coming to Denver.
Ace Padel, a Miami-based club for padel players, officially announced on Monday it selected Denver for its next location. It will open in the River North Arts District at 1812 35th St., the former home to Great Divide Brewing Co.
Padel is a fast-growing sport that is often described as a mashup of tennis and squash. It’s most popular in Spain, Portugal and Argentina and is starting to gain a foothold in the U.S., alongside the rise of other racquet sports like pickleball.
There are more than 1 million padel players in the U.S., according to the United States Padel Association using data from the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, which included padel for the first time in 2026 for its report tracking sports participation across the nation.
The U.S. is a “high potential” market for padel with demand largely driven by Latin American and other international communities, according to a study from PwC and Playtomic, a padel booking platform. But the sport is still in its early stages in the U.S., the study found.
Ace Padel is expected to open in Denver this fall, the company said.

The padel court operator, which has one club open in Miami, also has plans to expand to Los Angeles, according to its website. The company is also behind the LA Padel Invitational, a padel tournament in Beverly Hills.
While the sport has a stronger presence in states like California, Florida and Texas, according to Playtomic’s study, Ace Padel’s cofounder Elliot Carnello said he believes Denver is a “natural next step.”
“The city has an active and social energy that aligns perfectly with how we think about growth,” he said in a news release. “We’re not interested in opening clubs everywhere as quickly as possible — we want to build spaces that become part of people’s everyday lifestyle and genuinely contribute to the communities around them socially.”
The Denver club will span 26,000-square-feet and will include seven courts. Five will be indoor and two will be outside. It will also include social lounges, locker rooms, wellness amenities and food and beverage options.
Ace Padel also said it will partner with racquet sport equipment maker Babolat, which has its U.S. headquarters based in Louisville, Colo., and use the club as a showroom space for the brand.
