Rapids goalkeeper Zack Steffen undergoes successful shoulder surgery | Colorado Sunshine
Where good news shines
The Colorado Rapids announced uplifting news Tuesday.
Rapids goalkeeper Zack Steffen underwent successful shoulder surgery, the team said. The 31-year-old is expected to miss five to six months as he recovers.
Steffen has made 78 appearances for Colorado since he joined the club in 2024. He’s recorded 12 clean sheets and, in MLS regular-season play, ranks fourth all-time among Rapids goalkeepers in win percentage, sixth in minutes played and seventh in appearances. He shows 26 wins during that time.
The Rapids stand 11th in the MLS’ Western Conference with the league on break due to the World Cup.
