Temperatures cool off slightly in Denver on Thursday

Temperatures in Denver are expected to cool off slightly on Thursday, but Denverites will still want to have those sunglasses handy.

The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect a high of 77 degrees Thursday in Denver. That’s about 5 degrees cooler than the average high for June 11 in Denver and about 11 degrees cooler than Wednesday.

Meteorologists said to expect winds out of the north at about 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Tonight, the low in Denver is expected to dip to around 53 degrees, the weather service said.

But enjoy the break from the heat while it lasts. Meteorologists said to expect temperatures in Denver to kick back up to about 88 degrees on Friday.
