Colorado mountain town set to host rodeo at 7,522 feet
The Rooftop Rodeo is set to take place in Estes Park on July 6-11 this year.
Known as “The Rodeo with Altitude,” many of the world’s top contestants visit Estes Park each summer and match up with livestock from the Cervi Championship Rodeo, competing for thousands in prize money.
According to The Rooftop Rodeo, it wraps up “Cowboy Christmas,” the busiest time of year in professional rodeo. Contestants travel to Estes Park to “cool off and enjoy the scenery and all Estes Park has to offer.” The rodeo is sanctioned by both the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association.
As well as classic rodeo events and competitions, the event will feature a parade through downtown Estes Park, entertainment, food, vendors, and more.
