Motorcyclist killed in Englewood crash under investigation

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a crash after driving between vehicles, according to Englewood Police.

Officers and Denver paramedics responded to the intersection of South University Boulevard and East Floyd Avenue at approximately 9:32 p.m. Saturday, after receiving reports of a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

When first responders arrived, they found the motorcycle rider unresponsive. Denver paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling between vehicles when it struck the side of the SUV.

The Englewood Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased. After the victim’s identity is confirmed and next of kin are notified, the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office may release the name.

The crash remains under active investigation.
