7 Fourth of July events you’ll find around Colorado
As America’s 250th birthday and Colorado’s 150th statehood anniversary approach, many cities around Colorado are planning exciting Fourth of July celebrations.
Here are some great events to celebrate America’s 250th birthday:

- Aurora 4th of July Spectacular
This celebration will run from 6-10 p.m. at the Aurora Municipal Center. Festivities will include musical performances, free face painting, food trucks, and a fireworks show that will begin at 9:30 p.m. and last 30 minutes.
2. Vail America Days
Vail’s 4th of July festivities usually include a parade in the morning and fireworks in the nighttime (weather permitting). The theme for the parade will be set and announced soon, according to Discover Vail.
3. Greeley Stampede
This event features rodeos, concerts, and family fun, culminating on the 4th of July with Colorado’s largest Independence Day parade and ending the night with a fireworks show.
4. Fourth of July Celebration in Steamboat Springs
Steamboat Springs will be celebrating the 4th of July with a parade, ski jumping extravaganza, and the largest pro rodeo event of the summer. This year’s theme is “250/150: Celebrating our Pioneers, Patriots & Peaks.”
5. 4th of July Celebration in Estes Park
Estes Park will put on a fireworks show above Lake Estes at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. The fireworks display will include 1,800 shots in a choreographed, 25-minute show. There will be a concert at the Estes Park Events Complex before the fireworks show.
6. Ford Amphitheater’s Star Spangled Symphony
Colorado Springs’ Ford Amphitheater will be hosting the Star-Spangled Symphony to celebrate the 4th of July. The show will start with Fort Carson’s 4th Infantry Band, and then move on to a full symphony performance that will include hits from Dolly Parton, Marvin Gaye, and Tina Turner, a Star Wars suite, and classics like the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever. The celebration will be topped off with fireworks against the backdrop of the Pikes Peak skyline.
7. America 250 | Colorado 150 Drone Show presented by Visit Denver
This drone show will take place at 9:15 p.m. in Denver. Some great viewing spots include the 54thirty Rooftop at Le Meridien Denver Downtown, Peaks Lounge at Hyatt Regency Denver, or the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
