Tyler Onyedim signs, putting all Broncos draft picks under contract
All of the Broncos’ 2026 draft picks are now signed.
Defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim, a third-round pick from Texas A&M, became Monday the last one to sign. He got a four-year, $7.43 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $1.86 million and will have a cap number this season of $1.35 million.
Onyedim, who went No. 66 overall, was the highest pick for the Broncos, who didn’t have a first- or a second-round selection. They had seven overall picks.

After playing his first four seasons at Iowa State, Onyedim last season for the Aggies had 9.5 tackles for loss, including 3.5 sacks. Broncos coach Sean Payton has called him a candidate to replace starter John Franklin-Myers, who signed as a free agent with Tennessee in March.
“I think he blossomed and he became a disrupter,’’ said Jay Bateman, who was Onyedim’s defensive coordinator at Texas A&M and now has that position at Kentucky. “I think in the NFL, he’ll really be good at rushing the quarterback. … I think he’ll be a problem in the run game, too.”
Denver concluded spring drills last week with a mandatory minicamp although rookies remained at Broncos Park for an additional week for orientation. The Broncos will return to the practice field in July for training camp.
Denver rookies are scheduled to report July 22 for camp with veterans to arrive July 28.
The NFL announced reporting days Monday for all 32 teams. The Broncos are expected soon to announce more details on their training camp.
