Denver weather: Afternoon and evening thunderstorms
A little bit of everything is on the forecast for Denver on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service said to expect a high of around 84 degrees with thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Denver residents can expect mostly sunny skies in the morning, but as the afternoon rolls around, forecasters are predicting severe thunderstorms. Precipitation should start around 2 p.m., with lighting beginning to roll in after 3 p.m.
The weather service is warning that hail, up to three inches in diameter, could also fall in some areas. Out of five, the National Weather Service is giving the local risk a three due to the storms.
Heads up! Significant severe weather threat today, particularly this evening, including for the I-25 corridor. A few intense supercells will be possible, capable of producing very large hail exceeding 2-3" in diameter. Be weather aware! #COwx pic.twitter.com/s6YJl0WQz6
