Denver weather: Last rainfall of the week as temperatures bounce back up
Denver should see another bout of rainfall on Friday, but not without near 90-degree temperatures.
The National Weather Service said to expect a high of around 87 today, with a 30% chance of rainfall and thunderstorms in the late afternoon.
Friday marks the last in a long string of days with chances of precipitation across much of the state. Though the Denver metro hasn’t felt the severity forecasters were warning about, eastern Colorado received excessive rainfall and baseball-sized hail this week.
With the passing of a rainy week and the height of wildfire season upon us, the weather service is wary of fire danger, particularly in the high country. This risk only grows throughout the next week.
The weather will only be warmer and drier, forecasters say in an early look at next week. Expect “little change” in pattern across most of the state.
Tonight, expect a low of around 61 degrees with breezy winds and little to no chance of precipitation.
