Colorado city ranks among the most walkable in the U.S.
Walkable cities throughout the U.S. offer travelers the opportunity to see different attractions, experience the culture and even save money.
USA Today recently published its list of the 10 best walkable cities for tourists in the U.S., and one Colorado city made the rankings.
USA Today 10Best is a readers’ choice award program that highlights the best in the country’s destinations, food and drink, hotels and things to do. An expert panel picks their top choices and readers vote to determine the 10 winners.
Denver took fifth place on the list of the best walkable cities for tourists. According to USA Today, the Mile High City is walkable due to its many neighborhoods with attractions, shopping and restaurants nearby. USA Today says that some of the city’s more pedestrian-friendly areas are downtown, Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park and Platt Park.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania took first place as the best walkable city in the U.S.
