Denver weather: Temperatures stay hot as summer rolls on
With July officially here, Denver is on tap for a streak of 90-degree days with nearly no end in sight.
The National Weather Service said to expect a high of around 90 degrees on Wednesday with some patches of wildfire smoke visible. Sunny skies are forecasted for most of the day, except for a 20% chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon.
In what has become a typical Colorado weather pattern we have the big three on tap for today: 90 degrees, afternoon precipitation, and wildfire smoke.
The wind is expected to be a breezy 5 to 14 miles per hour with gusts up to 22 miles per hour.
Most of the western half of the state continues to be given a Red Flag warning, and Denver may finally receive one later this week.
“Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected Thursday and Friday especially along and south of I-70,” the weather service said.
Tonight, expect a low of around 56 degrees with the wind to remain breezy and any chance of thunderstorms to dissipate by 9 p.m.
