FRIDAY
Sunset Cinema Series: ‘National Treasure’ + Drone Show
What: The axiom of all patriotic events. A special screening of National Treasure featuring Academy Award-winning actor Nicholas Cage at Sculpture Park, followed by a drone show celebrating Colorado 150 and America 250. The show will feature DJ sets before the movie and a drone show and a drone show after, and an appearance from Denver Mayor Mike Johnston. There will be plenty of food trucks and snacks available for when you get hungry. Don’t forget to bring your blankets or camping chairs or whatever you use to stay cozy!

SATURDAY
Cherry Creek Arts Festival
What: The ultimate artist showcase in Denver, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival is celebrating its 35th anniversary, where proceeds fund art programs for Colorado students. The festival showcases over 250 artists from all over the world, selling everything from fine art and jewelry to pottery, photography and painting. Come to purchase the art, or just appreciate and donate to CherryArts to support local art programs, dance to live music or eat from one of the local food trucks.
When: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. The whole festival runs July 3-5

Park Hill July 4 Parade
What: A tradition that stretches across generations and childhoods, the Park Hill Parade will march down the streets of downtown Denver, celebrating the 4th of July and America’s 250th Birthday. The parade features more than 50 groups dressed in their most patriotic American flag memorabilia. See floats, bikes, classic cars, motorcycles and horseback riders march down the streets of Denver’s historic Park Hill neighborhood.

SUNDAY
Urban Markets at Union Station
What: Meet me at the train station for a craft market set against a city backdrop at Denver’s bustling Union Station. This local market includes jewelry, clothing, handmade art, furniture and unique little treasures. Whether you make this your relaxing Saturday or Sunday shopping trip or a stop between destinations, it’s a perfect way to enjoy an outdoor market without too much commitment.
