7 great paddleboarding spots you’ll find around Colorado
In a state where swimming isn’t allowed in most bodies of water, paddleboarding tends to be one of the most accessible options when it comes to enjoying Colorado’s lakes and reservoirs.
Here are some of the best paddleboarding spots across Colorado:
Editor’s Note: Just because paddleboarding is ‘peaceful,’ don’t assume you don’t need a life jacket. Paddleboarders without a life jacket die every year in Colorado and because of this, it can actually be one of the state’s deadliest sports. That said, when a Coast Guard-approved life jacket is being worn properly, it drastically reduces risk. Wear a life jacket and watch the forecast, as a windy day may mean getting stranded or blown into a more dangerous area.
