Officials seek information about truck spotted near recent Colorado wildfire around start of blaze

Authorities are seeking information about a truck that was spotted near one of Colorado’s recent wildfires around the time the blaze started.

According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, a truck with some sort of company logo on the side was captured on camera in the area of the Dry Creek Fire around the time it ignited. It’s believed that the driver may be a witness that could assist in the investigation into what started the blaze. The Dry Creek Fire sparked near Rifle on June 23, ultimately reaching 316 acres before it was fully contained.

A press release about the truck was published on July 3, with anyone who recognizes the logo asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 970-945-0453, asking for Sheriff Lou Vallario.

While the driver of the truck was not described as a suspect, a press release on the matter did note that all suspects are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
