Erling Haaland look-alike contest scheduled for Saturday in Boulder

Calling all Vikings.

A Boulder food hall on Saturday is hosting an Erling Haaland look-alike contest during the Norway vs. England World Cup quarterfinal game.

Avanti Food and Beverage, located at 1401 Pearl Street, posted on its Instagram account that anyone who looks like the Norwegian superstar striker can enter the contest at the food hall host stand between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday.

“No talent required,” the post said. “Looking like Erling is enough.”

Haaland has taken the U.S. by storm during this World Cup with his seven goals, one off the lead for the tournament’s Golden Boot award for most goals. The Manchester City striker has also taken the internet by storm with his hulking frame, long blonde hair and wildly popular Snapchat account.

The results of the look-alike contest will be announced at the end of the Norway vs. England match, with the winner taking home a $100 Avanti gift card, the food hall said.
