Six detained after shots fired at Cherry Creek swim beach, says sheriff’s office
Investigators detained six people in connection with the incident.
ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — No injuries were reported after multiple shots were fired in the area of the Cherry Creek State Park swim beach Sunday afternoon, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office said the shots were fired around 3:30 p.m. Six people have been detained in connection with the incident.
The sheriff’s office said investigators cleared part of the swim beach so K9s could search the area for evidence. The beach reopened around 5:30 p.m.
