Denver’s Westridge and Mulroy redevelopment plans discussed Thursday

Denver Housing Authority will host a community meeting on the Westridge and Mulroy 2020 Master Plan, from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at the Mulroy Senior Center, located at 3550 W. 13th Ave. in Denver.

Located near 13th Avenue and Knox Court, the 250-unit public housing site was built more than 70 years ago on aging infrastructure, according to a press advisory from DHA.

The neighborhood has been identified as a candidate for redevelopment projects to modernize aging housing and increase density in an area well-suited for transit-oriented development, with access to light rail and major employment centers.

Redevelopment will allow for a phased rebuild of the community and aims to expand housing on the 12-acre site to more than 500 homes.

Residents wanting to learn more or to submit feedback may do so at www.denverhousing.org/westridge.   Those planning to attend in person may RSVP: cloud.microsoft.
