Man fatally shot after firing at officers, Loveland Police say
According to Loveland Police, the man was wanted in connection with an earlier domestic violence report.
LOVELAND, Colo. — A man was fatally shot by Loveland officers after he fired at officers who went to a residence to arrest him on charges related to an earlier domestic violence incident, a news release from Loveland Police says.
Just before noon on Wednesday, officers received a report about a domestic violence incident involving a man who threatened another person with a gun at a home in the 3300 block of Banyan Avenue.
Detectives began investigating the report and as a result obtained an arrest warrant for the man on charges including menacing, tampering and prohibited use of a weapon.
