Rockies release complete 2027 schedule, wait to see if MLB goes into a lockout
The Rockies on Thursday released their 2027 schedule.
However, attach an asterisk by any games you put on your calendar.
Colorado is slated to open the 2027 season on the road in San Francisco against the Giants on March 25 and play three games in San Francisco before heading to San Diego for three games against the Padres. Colorado’s home opener is scheduled for April 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
But will the annual celebration of Opening Day in LoDo really happen that day? That’s a big question mark with the end of the current Major League Baseball Collective Bargaining Agreement looming on Dec. 1.
Both the players and owners currently have dug in their heels over issues that include a potential salary cap and floor to be instituted with the next CBA. Those hardline stances haven’t softened over the All-Star break, and a nasty battle is expected to erupt between over the next few weeks or months.
The last time a CBA had to be agreed upon was 2022, and the issues were finally resolved after a 99-day lockout. The season opener was pushed back a week, and the revised schedule forced the Rockies to finish the season with six consecutive games in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.

While there may be a cloud hanging over the 2027 season, there are some Rockies dates to mark on your calendar as hope for a settlement springs eternal.
Colorado will once again be home on Independence Day, hosting the Toronto Blue Jays. That will also be a part of Colorado’s longest homestand of the season, beginning July 2 against Toronto and continuing with San Francisco and San Diego until July 11. That last game against the Padres will also be the final game before the All-Star Game break.
The longest Rockies road trip of the season also will happen in July, with Colorado heading to Arizona, San Francisco and Houston from July 16-25.
The Rockies will finish the season at home with a six-game homestand against the Dodgers and Giants.
