DENVER — Police are asking for help identifying and locating a driver and their vehicle after a deadly hit-and-run crash earlier this month in a Denver alley.
According to Denver police, the victim was struck in an alleyway between York and Gaylord streets around 10 a.m. on July 10. On Friday, police released a photo of the vehicle and driver they believe to be responsible.
Police said the investigation shows that the SUV driver was traveling eastbound on East Colfax Avenue when the driver made a right turn into the alleyway and struck the victim.
The victim was seriously hurt and later died from their injuries.
Police described the vehicle as a white 1990s or early 2000s Ford SUV. They believe it’s unlikely the vehicle was damaged from the collision. According to police, the driver left after hitting the victim.
