Where good news shines

Colorado women’s basketball is going international again.

The Buffs will play three exhibition games as part of a 10-day tour of Portugal from Aug. 2-11. CU also gets 10 extra practice sessions due to the trip.

“This trip is an incredible opportunity for our team to grow together,” coach JR Payne said. “Traveling internationally allows our student-athletes to experience a new culture, broaden their perspectives and continue building the trust and chemistry that make great teams. We can’t wait to represent Colorado in Portugal.”

CU toured Italy in 2018 and Spain in 2022 with Payne as coach. The Buffs will introduce five incoming transfers and two freshmen for the 2025-26 season.
