Denver weather: Heat advisory on the way as Denver warms back up

The seemingly short-lived cooldown from the rain is over, making way for another wave of heat in Denver.

The National Weather Service said to expect a high of around 97 degrees on Friday with clear skies and breezy winds.

Much of the I-25 corridor is bracing for a Heat Advisory warning from the weather service this weekend. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be particularly hot and dry, prompting forecasters to warn residents.

Some parts of the state, those at higher elevation, may see some light precipitation today.

The weather service’s early outlook for next week is one of more rainfall and cooler temperatures.

Tonight, expect a low of around 69 degrees with the wind to remian mild.
