Broncos face loads of questions after 14-3 season | The Starting Lineup
Turn on the game!
Three must-see events this week:
- Colorado Open final round (Sunday) — The best-run state open in the country concludes Sunday at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club with a steamy weather forecast. Will the tournament score another local winner?
- Rockies vs. Kansas City Royals (6:40 p.m. Sunday) — Could this be one of the final games at Coors Field for trade-deadline attractions Hunter Goodman, Mikey Moniak or Jake McCarthy?
- Broncos training camp open practice (10 a.m. Friday) — After moving into a $175 million practice facility at Broncos Park, the Broncos are living in luxury as they defend an AFC West title.

Box office
$78.75 — Celebrate Colorado’s 150th birthday on Saturday in Section 119 with a drone show and the Rockies vs. Royals at Coors Field (Ticketmaster)
On this day
July 25, 2025 — It was not a good day for the Rockies as Colorado suffered its largest shutout loss in franchise history. The Orioles beat the Rockies 18-0 at Camden Yards.
Final word
It’s crazy how many questions the Broncos have after winning the AFC West last season. Will the team’s offense be better with Davis Webb and the addition of Jaylen Waddle? Can the defense stay elite or will it take a step back? And the biggest question, are Bo Nix’s ankles all right after two surgeries? It will be a fascinating training camp in Englewood.
