Broncos guard Ben Powers will report to training camp Tuesday after agreeing to a restructured contract.

A source confirmed Monday that Powers, who battled injuries in 2025, will take a significant cut from the non-guaranteed base salary of $12.49 million he had been on the books for in 2026. Powers, entering the final season of what was originally a four-year, $52 million contract, will receive a figure for 2026 that includes guaranteed money, but exact contract details were not yet available.

Powers’ restructure was first reported by 9News. A source also confirmed a 9News report that Powers played the final five games last season with a Lisfranc foot injury that had not previously been reported.

Last season, Powers suffered a torn left biceps in Week 5 at Philadelphia and missed nine games. He returned against Jacksonville in Week 16 and suffered the foot injury during that game.

Powers told Broncos officials he could play through the injury, and it was not diagnosed until after he had played in the final three regular-season games and two playoff games. He then sat out offseason drills.

Powers had been due a $500,000 roster bonus that would have become guaranteed on March 15, the fifth day of the NFL’s new league year. However, the Denver Gazette reported in March that the bonus was moved to his base salary and became nonguaranteed. That maneuver ultimately led to Powers agreeing to a restructured contract.

Prior to his biceps injury, Powers had started 39 straight games for the Broncos at left guard after joining the team in 2023. He was replaced in the lineup by Matt Peart for one game, and then by Alex Palczewski after Peart was lost for the season with a knee injury.

Palczewski started 10 straight games, two when Powers came off the bench in his first two games back. Powers, despite the foot injury, then started Denver’s final regular-season game and the two playoff games.
