A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday for many parts of the state including the northern and central mountain areas, I-70 corridor, and areas surrounding the Front Range and eastern plains.

Additional snowfall is expected to layer 3 to 5 inches along the I-25 corridor counties, with up to 16 inches of snow possible at higher elevations. 2 to 5 inches of snow is expected in Lake and Chaffee Counties, with 4 to 7 inches likely for the Wet Mountain Valley and Mountains, Sangre de Cristo Mountains, as well as Fremont, Pueblo, Huerfano, El Paso, and Teller Counties. 4 to 8 inches of snow is also likely across the Grand and Battlement Mesas and West Elk and Sawatch Mountains.

Passengers are urged to check the status of their flight before they head to the airport. According to FlightAware, as of 10:00 a.m. Monday morning, there have been 176 delayed flights and 76 canceled flights at Denver International Airport.

Another blast of winter weather is expected for Colorado from Tuesday into Wednesday, with snow accumulations ranging from 6-12 inches in the mountains.
