10-year-old boy dies after UTV flips in Colorado
A 10-year-old boy died on Thursday after the UTV he was riding in with four other children tipped over in a farm field in unincorporated Boulder County, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:42 PM. Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, personnel from the Boulder Rural Fire Department, EMS personnel from American Medical Response (AMR), and Troopers from the Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene of the accident in the 3000 block of North 63rd Street to provide aid to the young boy. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries suffered.
The four other young children who were also riding in the UTV were not injured, one of which was driving.
The young male’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The official manner and cause of death are pending further investigation from the Boulder County Coroner’s Office and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
