King Soopers store will anchor new Aurora shopping center
A new King Soopers will be built in Aurora.
M4 Developers are working on constructing a new shopping center called Copperleaf Marketplace near East Quincy Avenue and E-470. The retail developers announced they sold 12.2 acres of land to develop a new King Soopers Marketplace store and a fuel station.
The 123,000-square-foot grocery store will anchor the new Copperleaf Marketplace within the Copperleaf community.
Construction of the 30-acre shopping center will begin this month, according to the developers. King Soopers is set to begin construction later in the year.
M4 Developers — a group of real estate investors including Rick Miller from Magna Development and Brandon Rogoff of Sedgwick Real Estate Partners and Marc Cooper of Cooper Development — said they have commitments from several national and regional retailers to move into the complex to be announced in the future.
“We are excited to join the Copperleaf Community and look forward to expanding access to fresh, affordable, and high-quality food in Arapahoe County,” King Soopers President Joe Kelley said in a press release. “This new location will provide a convenient, one-stop shopping experience, and we’re eager to contribute to the continued growth and success of this community.”

Hyatt Regency Denver to renovate 1,100 guest rooms
Downtown Denver’s Hyatt Regency hotel at the Colorado Convention Center is undergoing a major makeover.
The 37-story Hyatt Regency Denver will renovate 1,100 guest rooms and suites, as well as its hotel corridors to be inspired by the Rocky Mountains.
“We are thrilled to unveil this remarkable transformation as we embark on our 20th anniversary celebration in 2025,” Greg Leonard, the hotel’s general manager, said in a press release. “After updating our Lobby and rebranding our dining venues in 2018 and 2019, this project will add a more residential feel with natural materials and a color scheme that reflects Denver’s unique charm.”
The renovation includes wood flooring with in-laid carpeting. Bathrooms will have upgraded vanities and illuminated mirrors.
New furniture will feature Rockies-inspired materials such as sedimentary stone, porcelain and biodegradable vegan leather, and will have interlocking functionality, according to Hyatt.
“Our design for Hyatt Regency Denver celebrates the uniquely urban and natural essence of the city,” said Stephanie Gearhart, principal and interiors leader at Denver-based design firm DLR Group.
