Local police began investigating three separate shooting incidents across metro Denver throughout Tuesday evening, leading to four victims suffering from injuries.
The Denver Police Department first responded to a shooting at the in the area of 29th Avenue and Gilpin Street, by the Fuller Dog Park, around 10 p.m. Three people were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries, the extent of which are currently unknown, according to a social media post by the department. All three are expected to survive.
A man was shot and killed in the same exact area — the 2900 block of Gilpin Street — on Saturday in a separate incident, according to a previous post by the department.
Officers responded to a second shooting Tuesday evening in the 800 block of South Oneida Street around 10:30 p.m. One person was transported to the hospital with an unknown extent of injuries, according to a subsequent post by the department.
The Aurora Police Department began investigating a shooting in the 1400 block of Clinton Street around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the department. A man self-transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, though he is expected to live.
No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning, but the suspect and victim are thought to have known each other, the department said.
