Chaffee County Search and Rescue North (CCSARN) got another call to help a dog on Mt. Princeton on Sept. 4.

Rescue teams were called out at 2:38 p.m. and reached the dog at 4:36 p.m. The dog needed first aid for its paws and was “pretty dog-gone tired.” The rescuers treated the dog and carried it down the mountain in a Fido Pro.

Everyone was off the mountain at 6:15 p.m., according to the Facebook post.

“Here’s the ruff truth, statistics are showing Mt. Princeton is not dog friendly. The terrain is too rough for their paws,” read the post.
