Denver weather: Unusually warm Thursday around the city

Thursday will be unusually warm around Denver as high temperatures continue upward into the low 80s.

Denver residents can expect increasing clouds today, with a high near 83, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South southwest winds between 5 to 7 mph become light and variable.

Tonight it’ll be mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. East southeast winds around 6 mph become south in the evening.

Temperatures will be slightly above average through Sunday around metro Denver, hovering in the mid-70s over the next three days.

Even after a cool down starting Monday, temperatures (in the 70s) and conditions will remain warm and calm for the next several days of next week.

Friday: A 10 percent chance of showers after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 75. South wind around 6 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Light and variable wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 75.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 67.
