Denver police looking for driver in Jefferson Park hit-and-run
Denver police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver who allegedly struck a pedestrian and fled Tuesday evening.
Officers initially responded to a crash at the of West 24th Avenue and North Federal Boulevard — in west Denver near the Jefferson Park neighborhood — around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from the Denver Police Department.
A pedestrian was found and suffered “serious bodily injuries,” police said.
Investigations found that a 2014 to 2025 light-colored Mini Cooper was driving northbound on Federal Boulevard and struck the pedestrian crossing the road. The driver then fled the scene.
The Mini Cooper may have damage on the front passenger side.
Police are asking that anyone with information contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Callers can remain anonymous.
