Colorado Parks and Wildlife to offer free ‘Fresh Air Friday’ event at state parks on Black Friday
Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is offering a unique alternative to Black Friday shopping on Friday, Nov. 28.
CPW is presenting “Fresh Air Friday,” an event when Coloradans and out-of-state visitors can visit a Colorado State Park for free. The event offers visitors a great opportunity to experience Colorado’s state parks.
“What better way to spend the holiday season than exploring one of Colorado’s amazing state parks,” said Governor Polis in a press release. “Fresh Air Friday is a great opportunity for Coloradans and out-of-state visitors to take advantage of free access to the parks, try a new outdoor recreation activity, and spend time with loved ones.”
Colorado state parks offer plenty of great outdoor activities, including everything from scenic hikes to wildlife spotting. Visitors can plan their excursion by discovering the range of activities offered at each state park here. Visitors can also check out the Colorado State Parks Guide to help plan their trip and find park events and hikes on the CPW events calendar.
And for those still wanting to partake in some shopping, all CPW retail items on cpwshop.com and at Colorado state park visitor centers and offices will be 25% off from Nov. 28 – Dec. 1. This includes subscriptions to Colorado Outdoors magazine. Discounts, however, will not apply to ammunition, gas, food, firewood, wildlife licenses, park passes, or registration products.
