Denver police are searching for a suspect after a possible road rage shooting left a man dead in southwest Denver on Saturday night.

The shooting took place in the 3000 block of S. Winona Ct., according to a Denver Police Department X post. A police spokesperson said the call came in at 5:53 p.m.

Initially, police said a man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

At 9:17 p.m., police said on X the man died in the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the shooting as a homicide. Police said preliminary investigation indicated the shooting likely resulted from road rage.

The shooting investigation remains active and ongoing Sunday, as authorities continue their search for a suspect.
