Colorado soccer’s Hope Leyba named finalist for TDS Player of the Year honor | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

University of Colorado junior forward Hope Leyba was one of five players named as finalists for Player of the Year by Top Drawer Soccer (TDS).

Jasmine Aikey (Stanford), Jordynn Dudley (Florida State), Izzy Engle (Notre Dame) and Samantha Erbach (Xavier) are the other four finalists.

Leyba is the nation’s leading goal scorer with 22 goals. She set CU program records in goals and points (45) this season, helping her to Big 12 Forward of the Year honors. Leyba recorded two hat tricks, becoming the first CU player to have multiple three-goal efforts in the same season.
