Denver weather: Sunny and unseasonably warm Friday

Another unseasonably warm day is on tap for Denver on Friday.

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service in Boulder predict a high of 60 degrees in Denver on Friday under partly sunny skies.

That’s about 16 degrees warmer than the average high temperature for Jan. 2 in Denver, according to National Weather Service records. It won’t come close to the record high of 72 degrees for this date, however.

Winds are expected to blow at 8 to 11 mph with gusts has high as 18 mph, the weather service said.

Overnight, expect lows to dip to around 33 degrees before a weekend with high temperatures in the 60s.
