Denver police arrest suspect in shooting that left 1 dead Saturday

Shooting occurred near the 2900 block of S. Vine St.

The Denver Police Department is investigating a shooting in south Denver that left one person dead late Saturday night.

The shooting took place near the 2900 block of S. Vine St., according to Denver police, who posted the shooting on social media platform X at 11:39 p.m.

At 4:08 p.m., police said authorities arrested a suspect, who appears to have known the victim.

A DPD spokesperson said the shooting happened at 11:12 p.m.

The victim died on-scene, according to police.

The shooting remains under investigation as of Sunday.
