6 places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Colorado Springs
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Battle of Puebla, a battle where a small Mexican army defeated a much larger French one looking to claim the land.
It’s not a national holiday in Mexico, most celebrations only happen in Puebla, but it is widely celebrated throughout the United States. If you’re celebrating, it’s good to remember the history behind the day.
