Get your western pride on with these unique Colorado license plates
Nothing says “Colorado heritage” like slapping a “WLDWEST” vanity plate on your American-made pickup truck.
That could be the reality for one proud Coloradan as the state plans to auction off the rights to 10 western themed vanity license plates at the National Western Stock Show this weekend.
The auction will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at the National Western Beef Palace Auction Arena and will include the license plates: PRCA, STETSON, BRONC, BISON, BEEFUSA, FARMGRL, SHWCOWS, 8SECNDS, N2ROPIN and WLDWEST.
“Colorado has a proud agricultural heritage. It’s part of my own family history and continues to shape our state today,” said Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera. “We are excited to bring unique Colorado license plate configurations to the Stock Show this year to give more people an opportunity to wrangle a plate they love while supporting grant opportunities for organizations that serve Coloradans with disabilities.”
Proceeds from the license plate auction will go toward the Colorado Disability Funding Committee to help “improve the quality of life and independence of people with disabilities,” the state said in a news release. Some of the proceeds will also go toward the National Western Stock Show Scholarship Trust.
