Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas will join White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for a press briefing Thursday afternoon.

The briefing, scheduled for 1 p.m., directly follows Hurricane Milton’s landfall in Florida as well as reports of President Joe Biden’s conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday about escalating tensions in the Middle East between Israel, Lebanon, and Iran.
