Where good news shines

Colorado women’s soccer is on a roll.

The 18th-ranked Buffs won their fifth straight with a 2-0 triumph over Weber State at Prentup Field Sunday, closing their non-conference schedule. CU improved to 6-1-0.

Sophomores Ava Priest and Hope Leyba each scored against Weber State. Colorado goalkeeper Jordan Nytes made four saves, and the Buffs haven’t conceded a goal in four straight games. Nytes hasn’t allowed a goal since Aug. 18 against North Carolina.

CU starts Big 12 play at Kansas State on Thursday (6 p.m., ESPN+).
