Three men from across the country were arrested following a child prostitution operation held by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. One of the men was from Greeley.

The sheriff’s office began an undercover operation toward the end of May, according to a press release from the office. The operation involved using online forums to pose as underage sex workers, who attempted to draw out alleged offenders.

“Several hundred people responded to the postings and expressed interest in buying sexual services from children,” the sheriff’s office said.

Three men arrived to the agreed-upon location, leading to their arrests, authorities said.

The three arrested were 33-year-old Steven Dewayne Neisen of Greeley, 25-year-old Isaac Fernandez of Virginia and 54-year-old Starley Stevens of Wyoming.

All three were booked into the Larimer County jail on suspicion of multiple charges, including soliciting for child prostitution and soliciting a minor.

“Over the past year, we’ve arrested numerous suspects during undercover child predator operations,” Undersheriff Joe Shellhammer said in the release. “Our investigators work countless hours to catch those trying to prey on the innocent. We’re doing everything in our power to stop this kind of crime in Larimer County.”
