Birmingham Stallions DE Dondrea Tillman to work out Tuesday for Broncos
On Sunday, defensive end Dondrea Tillman won a United Football League Championship with the Birmingham Stallions. On Tuesday, he will work out with the Broncos.
“We had three or four (NFL) teams interested in him and we’re sending him to Denver first,” Tillman’s agent, Marty Magid, said Monday night.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Tillman, who played at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, spent the past three seasons with the Stallions. Magid said he “really put it together” in 2024, when he had 27 tackles, including six for loss and 3 ½ sacks.
Tillman played for the Stallions on Sunday when they won the inaugural UFL championship with a 25-0 win over the San Antonio Brahmas. In 2022 and 2023, he won titles with Birmingham in the USFL.
“Hopefully, he gets in the building (Tuesday) and we have a contract,” Magid said.
Monday marked the first day NFL teams could begin reaching out to UFL players.
Also Monday, the Green Bay Packers announced their joint practice with Denver at Broncos Park will be on Aug. 16. The teams will then play a preseason game Aug. 18 at Empower Field at Mile High.
