South Platte dam demolition to help restore fishery
Crews are actively demolishing a 1950s dam near Lake George, Colorado, on the South Platte River. The removal of this dam aims to transform a cattail-choked, slow section into a fish-friendly environment. This initiative will benefit a 45-mile stretch of the river, from Elevenmile Reservoir to Cheesman Reservoir. (Video by Skyler Ballard/ The Gazette)
