Bear euthanized after being hit by vehicle on I-25 in Colorado Springs

A bear was euthanized after being hit by a car on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs Monday, KKTV reports.

At about 12:30 p.m., the bear, which appeared to be a cub, was spotted on I-25 near the Woodmen exit on the northbound side of the highway.

First responders helped get the bear off the highway at about 12:35 p.m. Video captured by city traffic cameras and shared by KKTV showed cars coming to a complete stop on the interstate as multiple people worked to get the bear to safety.
